History:
Officially adopted in 1979 by the Soviet Union, the AKS-74u has been an iconic weapon in the later half of the cold war. Like other AK variants, the AK-74U quickly gained popularity worldwide due to its reliability, simplicity, and effectiveness. It became a staple weapon among various armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and paramilitary groups around the globe.
The AKS-74U stands as a testament to the enduring legacy of the AK rifle platform and remains a highly regarded firearm in the realm of compact carbines. Design Variations:
Between 1982 and 1985, Type A handguards featured cooling vents, while Type B, also known as "mid-era" handguards, lacked these vents and were in use until 1988.
Type C, or "late era," handguards appeared thereafter, featuring smaller finger grooves. Vented and non vented options are available to match both design styles.
Except for cooling vents, there were no observed differences in upper handguards.

Great quality

The quality and craftsmanship is superior. The finish is absolutely magnificent. It fits almost perfectly into my Arsenal 106UR. It really makes it resemble a classic Russian krink. Yes the wait time was long but I say in the end the product was worth the wait.
