The Romanian MD65 was created in 1965 to serve as the standard rifle for vehicle crews, paratroopers, and special forces.

The Romanian army liked the dong handguard used in the fixed stock MD63, but the addition of the underfolder stock required a design update to work with the handguard.

This handguard is a reproduction of the classic "reverse dong" design, and works well with underfolder AK's and provides a shorter, more vertical grip.

Fits standard stamped AKs.

Includes a front tension spring

Made from Baltic Birch laminate wood.

Your choice of finish.

Worth every penny!

I bought this for an underfolder and could not be happier with it. Not going to lie I was a little apprehensive since I’ve never purchased anything from this website, but I was in no way disappointed. Fits and feels great. Definitely recommended if you have an underfolder or any ak for that matter and are looking for a reverse dong.

dong alert

When I ordered it I was worried that for some reason it wasn’t going to fit my m70ab2. When it arrived I quickly opened it and quickly took apart the m70, as if I just got a new video game excited to pop it in. Fit nicely and looked amazing. Took 2 looks at it and knew what to do. I stained it and gave it a warn finish. Now it looks like a whole new firearm and I’m very pleased. I took it for feel test at the range. You can really pull your ak into your shoulder with this. Tight groups and lots of fun. I highly recommend this

Buyer

Great fit, wonderfully ergonomic. You've already got the underfolder, we both know you've been thinking about biting the bullet on a reverse dong. APS didn't disappoint me.
