Description

The AK74 became the standard rifle of the Soviet Union in 1974 and marked a change from 7.62x39 to the 5.45x39 rifle cartridge. This design change also brought some changed to the wood furniture design.

These rifles featured a similar style handguard to the later model AKM palmswell with the largest design change being the replacement of the cooling vent cuts with a scallop above the palmswell.

Made from Baltic birch laminate wood.
